Cost hikes for UT system employees

____ Employees at UT system locations, will see substantial cost hikes in their health plans beginning on September 1. The employee share of premiums will go up about 6%, prescriptions in the preferred and non-preferred categories will increase by $5 to $30 and $45, and 3-month supplies of prescriptions in the mail-order plan will increase by $25 (to $75) for preferred and by $32.50 (to $112.50) for non-preferred. Only the basic PPO plan (UGIP/UT Select) will be available next year.
____ Rates for employees in the Employees Retirement System plans (all locations except the UT and A&M systems) will remain unchanged for the next fiscal year. The ERS system will continue to have some HMO options in some parts of the state.
